I have a java application which sends email.
I connect to my internet service provider using username and password given by him.
When i type
java SendEmail
. the email is send.
In the code i use smtp host given by my ISP which is smtp.abc.com to send email.
I am able to send email. When i use smtp host as smtp.rediffmail.com to send email
i am not able to send. Do we have to use the smtp given by Service provider or is their
a way to use another smtp.
We do so manually. When we check our emails. We connect to our ISP. We go to the
site of our email account and we send email ?

Perhaps your ISP is filtering port 25 traffic, meaning that you can only make smtp connections to their server, not to any other random one out on the Internet.

This is a good thing, to limit spamming.
