how to extract rpm file in linux

I installed j2sdk-1_4_2-linux-i586.rpm file to my system and i am unable to extract files from it.So how to extract?

If you "installed" it, that means the files are already extracted and copied to their destination directories.

You can use the RPM tools to find out what files are in the package.
