I have min=3 and max=5 for my JDBC store connection pool settings. I used MySQL Administrator to monitor the JDBC calls and noticed that only one of the five connection is busy at any time. It appears that JDBC store is serializing the JDBC calls. Any idea why SwiftMQ is not utilizing all the connections in parallel?

In order to have parallel processing and use of multiple JDBC connections you must set max-threads of pool "jms.session" to the max number of JDBC connections in your JDBC connection pool. Further, you must use different queues because queue access is exclusive (and thus synchronized per queue).
