Is it possible to change the property value dynammically inside different targets:

Actually wanted this info for the below reason:

I am tranferring the files to remote machine using ftp task.
Before moving the files from my local server to remote server I am getting the files from remote server as a backup.

Here is the exmaple:

Main build.xml







































Test.xml
























Since both the targets in the main.xml "GettingRemoteFiles "and as well as the file "FileUpload" uses the same fileset dir="${MW_HOME}defined in an external file. So when transfering the files from remote system to localsystem, for the backup, the files are getting overwritten on localsystem.




Please let me know solution for this.

No - properties are immutable - once set, their value cant be changed.


In AntContrib there is a task to unset props ... not the real Ant way ...


Your example is not complete enough - why you want to do that?
