Hi,

I was wondering whether SwiftMQ (4.7.0) uses the filesystem for temporary storage/transaction logs even with the JDBC store.

In other words, is it safe to set up two separate SwiftMQ-Routers with a shared database for failover (only one is active at a time), or must the filesystem be shared?

Thanks,

Matthias

The JDBC Store Swiftlet doesn't use the file system, except the swap directory. But this is only to swap nonpersistent messages if the queue cache is full. The swap is deleted during startup. So for failover with JDBC you don't need to share the file system.
