I'm trying to use log44j with WebSphere, and I'm successful, but I'm getting Warning messages in my WAS log file that, according to the description, indicate that log4j is violating some kind of threading rule in the servlet container.

Here is the URL describing the warning:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&context=SSEQTP&q=J2CA0075W&uid=swg21109248&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en+en

any ideas/experiences on this?

Are you using configureAndWatch? On another post in this forum they were getting out of memory errors because they were calling this a lot and a bunch of threads were being spawned. I guess if this was getting spawning threads from an EJB the container might get mad.

DOMConfigurator.configureAndWatch()
