Can we make a 'Load on Startup' Servlet a Timer Task. I mean this has to be executed periodically and automarically. This is for a Batch Processing that happens at the backend and without any User Interaction. If yes, please help me with the strategy / code. Also please explain the advantages / disadvantages over Messaging Architecture with a Java Component that drives the whole back-end bacth process.
