I am looking to expose a number of method calls as web services for a Java app. I am interested to hear from anyone who has used jdeveloper/oc4j, jax-rpc/soap/https for this purpose and whether there may be better alternatives to a purely oracle-based solution. Ideally I want a light weight solution as I'm only servicing client calls and send xml strings back to the client, no binary data.
