Hi all,

I have a web service that returns an int array. Now, if the int[] is small, everything is ok, but if its large, the client throughs following exception:-

Fault Occurred (details follow):
Fault Code: SOAP-ENV:Server.Exception:
Fault String: Java heap space

I think whats happening is that there is not enough space for larger array sizes. So how can i permanently increase the heap space ?

Thanks.

When you start the jvm you can choose the heap-size. Check-out this article: http://developers.sun.com/tools/cc/tips/tip02-12-20.html

How big is your array? Are you sure there are no memory leaks or unnecessary references to your objects?
