In my jsp page one link is there "Add". On click of this link ,i am submitting the page and calling a servlet function and adding the id passed in the HTTP Session and forwarding to the same JSP page. When the page gets reloaded the link name changes to "Remove". But i want to do the same thing with out submitting the page. Is there any way to call the servlet function with out submitting the page and with out passing the Id as QueryString. Can anybody help me with some sample code?
Thanking you

I don't know the exact scenario in which you are working. But there is one way . Create an static method in servlet which return the required type and call this method from JSP? servlet.

this might work as you required.
