Hi,


I've just installed tomcat 4 on my new server and did exactly as I have always done while installing tomcat. But for some reason I get this error when starting Tomcat. 

			

			initKeyStore: java.io.IOException: Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect

I tried deleteing and regenerating the certificate with the keytool, but nothing seems to do the trick. Does anyone have a clue on how to solve this issue?

suggestion : delete the physical keystore file on the system and then generate the keystore with 'changeit' password.
restart the tomcat.
the physical keystore file on the system is usually located on unix /.keystore
