Is it possible to have access to resources residing on two different application servers as part of a single User Transaction. In order to clarify I will give an example. Consider that my application interacts with a JMS on a JBoss server and a Datasource on a Weblogic server. Now I want access to the JMS and the Datasource to be part of a single User Transaction. The user transaction will also be taken from the JBoss server. Are there any limitations on this. My guess is that there should be no limitations as the JTA API supports having the resources on different containers.

I think, JTS would be the choice for this case.

Unless we have a txm mgr, common to both the appserver, it is not possible to achive 2pc using JTA. I don't know whether it is available.
