Session problem with tomcat 4.1.30

I'm having problem with my code when it comes to call the "Session" statement. Could anyone have any ideae to help me would be appreciated? here is what i experienced. 1 -- if I don't include the servlet.jar file in jdk/jre/lib/ext, then the tomcat session example works fine. Tomcat 4.1.30 already contains both servlet.jar and activation.jar files in the TOMCAT_HOME/COMMON/LIB directory, thus, you shouldn't need to copy them to the JDK at all.

Make sure at any given time your Java applications sees only 1 instance of a particular .JAR file. What you have done is made 2 instance of the servlet.jar and activation.jar (in different location), this causes confusion in your Java appliations.

Note: No instance of the servlet.jar file should exist other then the 1 in the TOMCAT_HOME/COMMON/LIB.
