Hi all, i need to maintain a backward compatibility between two schemas of the same XML language we have. In the future we'll converge them. But now we need to create a wrapper or an translator between the ids that manage each schema, the older version has the id with string definition, the new one will be with numeric definition and we'll leave the string as description. In a hipotetic communication between apps we need to maintain the references, for example. App1 sends a XML message, the id is MACHINE1/ZONE3 the messages arrives to App2 that only understand an identifaction as this, 287458274823 Does anybody had this problem? Hi all,
i need to maintain a backward compatibility between two schemas of the same XML language we have.
In the future we'll converge them.
But now we need to create a wrapper or an translator between the ids that manage each schema, the older version has the id with string definition, the new one will be with numeric definition and we'll leave the string as description. In a hipotetic communication between apps we need to maintain the references, for example.
App1 sends a XML message, the id is MACHINE1/ZONE3 the messages arrives to App2 that only understand an identifaction as this, 287458274823
Does anybody had this problem?
How can we face this? The main characteristic must to be the speed perfomance, it's critical.
The solution could be a xslt transformation with some logic in Java to reference the ids.....
A magic wrapper conected to a database that maintain those id.....
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
