Hi, Do you have any SOAP client example that can behind Firewall/Proxy with authentication? I am having issues running an example behind a proxy. I am running JDK 1.3 and WSAD 4.0 Here are my Proxy (changed) details : Proxy Host : proxy.mycomp.com Proxy Port : 80 Proxy User : NB96751 Proxy Password : abcd123 Many articles suggest to use Java VM params : -Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy.mycomp.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=80 The above seems to work (Java 1.2+) well. But I am not able to perform(or skip) the authentication part. I did't get any success with various suggestions: Set -Dhttp.proxyU   More>>

Hi,

Do you have any SOAP client example that can behind Firewall/Proxy with authentication? I am having issues running an example behind a proxy. I am running JDK 1.3 and WSAD 4.0

Here are my Proxy (changed) details :

Proxy Host : proxy.mycomp.com
Proxy Port : 80
Proxy User : NB96751
Proxy Password : abcd123

Many articles suggest to use Java VM params :

-Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy.mycomp.com
-Dhttp.proxyPort=80

The above seems to work (Java 1.2+) well. But I am not able to perform(or skip) the authentication part. I did't get any success with various suggestions:

  1. Set -Dhttp.proxyUser and -Dhttp.proxyPassword -DnonProxyHosts; there seems to be no such properties supported in Java (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/net/properties.html)
  2. Extend Authenticator
  3. Set Proxy-Authorization in HTTP request header (http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip42.html)

Any help to resolve this is highly appreciated.

- regards
