Can't create a index file for lucene

Well the true is that my English is not good et all, so I hope some one understand my question
My os is windows xp professional sp1

I all ready copy the lucene jar's in java_home path
I have trying to create an index file and i tipe this in Dos prompt:
java org.apache.lucene.demo.IndexHTML -create -index {c:luceneindex}

And then this error apears:
Exeption in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError org/apache/lucene/demo/IndexHTML

Can any body help me!

You need to add Lucene demo Jar to your classpath. This is a really basic java problem, and nothing Lucene-specific, so I suggest you check out some Java language FAQs.
