I don't want to send an HTML mail...but would like to send an url within an email using java mail?
All the rest of the email is plain text and this url I want included comes midway thru the email.
(The answer *could be* buried in the many postings here..I was unable to find that matched my needs..and hence the qn)

Have you tried just writing the URL in the message body text?

Some email clients will automatically search for anything they think resembles a URL, in the message body, and will automatically highlight, underline, and make it "clickable", when the recipient opens the message, or sometimes when they even just "preview" it in a "preview pane". Personally I really hate it when mail clients do this! Better mail clients will at least have a configuration option, to turn this on or off.
