I am using java in my local machine and connecting to a remote database(postgresql).



My database does not seem to accept the TCP/IP connection.



Since Java 1.4 uses SSL and also my JDBC driver also claims to support SSL; can I make sure the JDBC driver uses TCP/IP connection.
