Basically the Java programming language was designed with h intention of keeping the programmer free of the headache caused due to dangling wild pointers.

Java does not give u the flexibility of manipulating memory the way C++ does, but does avoid the headache caused by unjudicious/incorrect usage of pointers.

Thanks

Aditya

Because the Java language does not support pointers?

Because the use of pointers (as in their C / C++ context) makes memory management more difficult.
