Hie, I'm trying to use J2ME to read arbitrary file which is not inside the JAR file, but local disk for encryption purpose. I can perform the reading on my PC within the directory where the jad file is compiled, but not on other directories or other pc. I'm using the GUI of the wireless toolkit, and by keying in the respective filename plus the extension, reading can be performed. I'm using the method
getResourceAsStream to read up the file. Are there any method to access arbitrary files in a local disk, since getResourceAsStream only read from a JAR file??
