A server host that runs several CORBA servers has multiple network cards. When the servers create IORs and register in the naming service, the IORs include the IP address of the server (using java 1.4.1 orb implementation). However, when a client from a different network tries to resolve server reference for one of such IORs it cannot find the imbedded IP address (the host's IP address from a different network). If the server's IOR contained the NAME of the server instead of the IP address all would work just fine. Does anybody know a way to force JDK's object_to_string to include host name instead of host IP address in the IOR? If not, what workarounds are there for this problems?    More>>
