In case if client and server are connected via sockets, and if client terminates or closes the socket without any notification to server. Is there any chance for server to find out that the client do not
responds any more ?

Java methods for this ... ? ( I do not wont to use timeout).

Yes -- the next attempt to read/write from/to that socket's streams will result in an IOException of some kind. That's how you know.
