I wanted to write a program which will update the System Time. The time is sent to this client by another time server(a small piece of code that I had written) and this is a long value. The client that I have written is able to receive this time value.

But I am unable to set the system time.

Help me.

Runtime exec the "date" command, as root.


Also note that "ntp" already does what you want
