Am a newbie on Lucene and i think is great!

I created a setup so that I index data from a DB

It index it correctly and it saves in a file directory.

I run a the search via tomcat, however when I want to index again, Lucene complains that it cant delete an index file..my only solution is to shutdown tomcat whenver i run my index from the DB.

Is this normal?? has any1 else have had this happened to them?? has any1 resolved it?

pls help

:~(

the "-create" param may want to delete all the files in your directory,
so you can try to test if there had been indexd files there.
I think if you just want to add some new things to the index,
you should cut down the "-create" then you can reindex even though the tomcat is running!
