hai,

Can anyone tell me about the "exec" task in ANT. If the os attribute is "windows" then we can provide executable attribute as "cmd.exe". What about the executable attributes for some other operating systems like UNIX, Linux, Solaris and AIX?

Thanks in Advance,

smvel

You can execute each application which native runnable on the machine. On windows you only need the cmd.exe if you want to start a batch file. You can also call the notepad.exe. On unix systems you usually use a shell interpreter like sh,bsh. For perl scripts you use perl, etc.
