Ant halting Tomcat

Hi All!



I'm a newbie to ant, so I apologize if this is a really simple question:

How do I prevent my ant script from shutting down tomcat?



I've heard that this is a known behavior for ant, but I haven't been able to find a solution for a couple days now. Basically, every time I run my ant script within tomcat, it shuts down tomcat and I have to restart. How do I keep ant from doing this?

"run my ant script within tomcat" means

  1. you start Tomcat

  2. a web application starts Ant

Is that right?

Can you give more details about what you're doing in the ant script, how you're invoking the ant script, etc.
