Hi can anyone tell me why the below does not display properly in Windows IE 6.0.xxx. What am I missing ? I'm using the latest Apache 2.0.48 web server. The below is a jsp file & I have removed the html/body tags for clarify sake here.

Hello world :)
The time now is <%= new java.util.Date() %>

What shows up is as below:

Hello world :) The time now is

If I add some more text, the refresh shows that too, but the JSP expression never shows.

Thanks a lot

Apparently the JSP is never executed, but only returned as is. - Like a HTML document. Look at the source code of the page in your browser and you will probably see your unmodified JSP expression. So, I assume something in your configuration is wrong. You have configured your Apache to talk to some other servlet engine like Tomcat, right? If not, that is what you need to do. Or, better, to just play around, don't use Apache, but only Tomcat. It will be much easier, than trying to set up Apache/Tomcat correctly, which tends to be a bit of a pain.
