I would like to develop an Applet (codebase will reside on the remote Server in the same LAN) that a client will run. When it runs, it will prompt user to select more than one files/folders. To make things possible, it is required that the Applet will read file system of the Client's machine. Is it possible? Do I need to sign the JAR containing Applet code? Can anyone help with samples that I can user. Please Note that you don't need to mention the mechanism of signing JAR. Please simply help with sample(s). I am using Java 2 SDK 1.4 on Windows Professional platform.    More>>
