Hi, I had work before on this book of Khalid A.Mughal, and realy it's help me a lots, and now I'm Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 platform, so I dvice you to work on it and good luck :) and also don't forget to have a look on this good site

Smitha I would rather advise you to spend money on the whizlabs simulator. I guess the price of the simulator is $60 and they assure 99.7% chance of clearing the exam if you prepare with their software and you have lot of material online to prepare, so I stringly advise you to buy some simulator.

I am also studying for my certification. Am not sure which books are good but I have one which I find ok.
Javaranch.com mentions that the number of answers for a particular question will be specified.
I am glad to know someone who is also giving the exam
