SwiftMQ uses LRMP (Lightweight
Reliable Multicast Protocol). The "Reliable" term means here it uses an ACK/NAK protocol to avoid packet loss. However, multicast is n:m and it depends on the speed of the consumers, the number of multicast clients and the resp. window sizes whether a packet could be resent and thus is not lost. LRMP has many options to configure flow control etc.
