How do I access an EJB from standalone java application?
Or, access a servlet from standalone java applications?

First of all, you have to include j2ee jars in your application's classpath.
Second, get the Naming Service Initial Context you want to access. Remember that for accessing a jndi service from outside the container you have to create de initial context with the naming service parameters (host, port, etc).

Under websphere, it requires you to install some java thin client. Since I don't have the original installation cd's for me to install(I have trial version), Would anyone know how I would setup my environment manually in order to make JDNI calls to an EJB from a java app? Thanks.
