Hi all.

I am using Tomcat 4.1.27 as an application server and Oracle 9.2.0 as a database. Both are runing on the Solaris 2.8 machines.

Sometimes I got the subj exception when trying to do some database stuff from the hosted web application.

I searched some sites on this topic and found that such a behaviour occurs when Oracle closes the idle connections so some or all of the connections in the connection pool become expired.

Is there any way to reinitialize the Tomcat's connection pool to avoid such situation?

Thanks.

Denis,

Which one of the Connection Pooling are you using, Tyrex or DBCP? Have you checked JNDI Datasource HOW-TO. It does contain few references regarding DBCP and Tyrex.
