Please forgive me if I ask stupid questions! I have just studied J2EE. I have downloaded J2EE SDK. I have some questions.

1. Is Deploytool a IDE like Jbuilder or Eclipse? What is exactly deploytool?

2. What is the application server that come with J2EE SDK?

3. If I do not have J2EE SDK in my system, but I have jbuilder.
Do I need to have j2ee sdk to deploy my stuff?

Thank you in advance

Hi

1- No deploy tool is no an IDE, it is only a deploy tool, it's a GUI environment simplifing creation of Deployment Descriptors for SUN RI Application Server.

2- Sun RI (Reference Implementation)

3- J2EE SDK is just Sun RI + java docs, you can use any other J2EE compatible application server instead

JBuilder can create Deployment Descriptors for some application servers containing Weblogic...
