I've a JSP page that shows a drop-down list containing all serial numbers from a table (DB). Below it, I'd display the details of that particular record (non-editable).

When the user selects a different serial number from the drop-down list, I'd need to 'refresh' the screen with the new details of that new record.

I'd have already obtained all the records from the store & put them into the request, i.e., I've a Collection of objects in the request of the JSP page.

Does anyone has any idea on how to achieve this?

Thanks.

You could place the recordes in the session, so they will stay available as long as your session is valid.

You could also make a javascript that holds all records and have a script view the appropriate record on a selection change. I like this option because it makes my application very fast.

Good luck,

Joost
