Dear all,

I want to include a word file in jsp page(use IFRAME), but this file doesn't has file extension. It always show the raw data inside the frame but not in the word format. What can I do to force browser read the file with word ?

Thanks in advance.

Joe

You need to set the content type and disposition correctly for this file. If your code is serving the data, you have to set the appropriate headers before you start sending the data. If you're letting your web server serve this file, give the file its appropriate extension and set that extension up in the web server so the content http headers are correct.

You can't force a browser to do anything, you can just give it suggestions. If the browser doesn't have a Word® doc plugin, and maybe even if it does, it will probably offer the user the option to save it somewhere.
