This problem is only in IE5.5+

I got menu on top of the page and iframe at the bottom. when i select the option from the menu i set target to iframe. The problem is sometimes it is refreshing entire page instead of iframe specially when the page contains select boxes. Can anyone help me why it is refreshing entire page when i select menu option instead of iframe.
