Hi,

I am developing a simple JAVA application.

In order to ease the installation for the user, I was asking myself it is possible in some way to include the JVM within the appliation with some sort of installation archive in order to save the user from having to go, find and install the JVM himself.

Thanks.

well joey,

it wouldn't be JAVA without JVM, it would be rather 'Java application bundled with JVM' :)

and thats what many people are doing today! use any of the installers available in the market and bundle the JDK/JVM req'd for your app with it.. the only catch over here is: now you'll need to provide a separate installer per OS/Platform, as you need a separate JVM per OS/Platform. People still considers this as a good choice as this approach lets you deliver your app for the end user having no knowledge of how a Java app works. the only thing we really do - which is not W.O.R.A. - is the installer for that OS..
