Hello, I'm trying to learn JSP and use Tomcat (v4.1.27). Tomcat has been installed successfully and I can display both html and jsp pages when I point my browser to http://localhost:8080/ Also, my java installation is reliable. Hello,

I'm trying to learn JSP and use Tomcat (v4.1.27). Tomcat has been installed successfully and I can display both html and jsp pages when I point my browser to http://localhost:8080/ Also, my java installation is reliable.

However, I am having problems running a Servlet in Tomcat. If I place a servlet (ch01_06.class) in 'installdir'webappsch01WEB-INFclasses and point my browser to http://localhost:8080/ch01/servlet/ch01_06 I get the (now highly frustrating) error:
"The requested resource (/ch01/servlet) is not available"

How can I discover whats wrong? Why isn't it availible when it's there?

I've been trying to fix this for hours.

As far as I know, all classpath and other environmental variables are correct.

Please help me to get this working, I'd appreciate it so much.

Regards,

Paul
