I have a client which is runing on PC and a server which is runing on an embedded computer. The client is using TCP socket communicate with server. I find the Java's InputStream.read() is very slow, need 0.1 second for one TCP packet(I use 100M Ethernet and make sured the network is fast enough). Does anyone can tell me how to up reading speed. Thank you!

You might find that UDP is faster than TCP, although you may have to write more code of your own, without TCP's added features.
