Applet have an Security so i Can't Read and Write Files in Local Machine,Just i want access or read File in Local Machine Via Applet Coding.Can we make any changes in the SecurityManager Class for access the io informations.if any Possible Options to Access give that detail brief to my Emailid

Check out the sun tutorial on Java Security. One has to make the Applet a Trusted applet by using certificates, then on each client, you need to manually set the security policy to allow for this to happen.


It's a pain, but it can be done.... Like I said check out Sun's Security tutorial...


Applets, however are not designed for writing to a local computer.... If you do this, you are breaking the fundamental security concepts that Applets are contracted to keep.
