I use java mail to send an email that has certain key filtering custom headers in the message.

I receive this email message and reply it using MS Outlook.

When I receive the replied mail from with in java mail, of course I don't have the custom headers I am looking for.

Is there a flag/indicator in the mail message that would retain my custom headers when replied to?

Any other method to overcome such a case?
Thanks,
Nuri

I think your choices include:

1. Use some encoded value in the standard headers rather than your own custom headers, so they will be there in any reply e.g. the "Subject" header probably,

2. Do a "forward" instead of "reply" and then parse the forwarded message attachment for those forwarded headers.
