Why doesn't the location (redirection) header work with cgi-jar in Tomcat?

Ok, so we should upgrade legacy perl scripts to java, except this was a job that needed rapid turnaround (rebranding...) and using legacy perl was OK in the short/medium term.

So we installed cgi.jar - everything works great EXCEPT for the relocation header e.g.

			print "location: test.pl

";

Now we've tediously got to replace all such code and I wouldn't ask if I couldn't find out why this won't work!

For that matter, uploading content by posting thru cgi-jar using multipart/form-data don't seem to do much either, but then neither do servlets/jsp without third party code e.g. cos.jar from o'Reilly...
