What is the difference between Dynamic MBeans and Model MBeans?

What does a Model MBean provide that a normal Dynamic does not?

What would be an example of situations where

  • a Dynamic MBean would do the job?

  • a Model MBean would be required / do the job better?

Model MBeans are a generic form of Dynamic MBeans. Using Model MBeans, you do not have to write an MBean class. Some of the features of the Model MBean are MBean persistence and Notification logging.
