Anscii file problem.

HOw do I fix the "bad magic number" because my .class file is an anscii file..
I know it's a compiler but don't know how to fix it!!!

This is not a JUnit question, but a *very* basic Java language question. You should probably do a search for "compile" in the JavaLanguage forum, or restate your question there if you don't find something usefull.

And let me reiterate my suggestion to get a good java book - that would really help very much in learning java. There are even some free ones downloadable on the web...

Unless I'm mistaken, I think the 'magic number' refers to the first few bytes of every .class file that's valid, 'CAFE BABE'. Did you or did you not compile the class ? and what is ANSCII ? Do you mean ANSI, ASCII, or an unknown mix of both ?
