How to make a html page rememeber the 'sortedness' of a dynamically sorted table when a user navigates back to it using the back button.

I allow the user to dynamically sort a table using a qsort algorythm. (The user selects a table column to sort by.)

The problem is that if a user selects a link from this page, then uses the back button, the table shows as it did when it was originally loaded, that is, the original unsorted state.

Is there any trickery I can use to make something like this persist in the history?

Thanks is advance.

see this thread (click here) To persist the sorting order, for a particular session you can store the column in cookies and read the column name from the cookie
