Hi,
I have written a very small RMI application just to test: the client, the server and the interface. All in one directory. Compiling was o.k. the stub is o.k. as well. But if I start the rmiregistry to register the Server with the command rmiregistry , the computer works and works but nothing happens and it never stops. I buildt the stub with v1.2. Can anyone help me? Thank you

cu Stefan

Start the rmiregistry. The registry waits for binding() requests from servers or naming() requests from clients. It does nothing else, and yes, you must kill it with a ctrl_c

Start the server on a command line. It binds() using the rmiregistry.

Start the client on a command line. It uses naming() to locate a server.

That is the sequence of events you should be doing.
