Hi,

We have a requirement to email people in Japanese. The data is picked up from the database and sent using a generic Java program. We are able to get the message body properly in Japanese but the Subject dosent come up in Japanese. We have put message.setSubject(subject,"UTF-8"); so that the character set problem is taken care of. In the loggers we are able to see the subject properly but in the mail it comes garbled as ???????????.

Any Pointers?

Thanks,
Prashant.

make sure that the setSubject(subject, "UTF-8") is not the problem... you may be using different encoding (SJIS for example)... however, display of the subject also depends on which mail client r u using and whether it supports the font u r using..
