As describe in Java Media Framework API Guide, there are 3 different ways to transmir RTP Media Stream:

Transmitting RTP Data With a Data Sink

Transmitting RTP Data with the Session Manager

Transmitting RTP Streams with RTPSocket
So I wonder the difference between these methods, ans which method is prefered ?

If you need low-level tuning for your transmition (such as supporting exotik protocols), your choice will be RTPSocket. If you need the only stream to be transmitted with only one format, your choice is Data Sink. If you need to track the variety of emerging streams and if they formats can be changed, choose Session Managemer.
