Hi,

I want to know if any one has knowledge of open source API's in java(or other languages like perl etc), which will allow me to create certificates.

My program requirement is:

1. User/client generates public key/private key
2. User sends public key to server.
3. Server now has to generate a certificate for the client, using clients public key.

I want to implement step 3 in a server program (using java/perl etc..). I have already implemented step 1&2 using jdk1.4 security package.

You can also use openSSL to create certificates. There was a openca at one point check out for it too guess it was openca.org.
