hi all

what is the difference between single process multi threaded web server and multiprocess web server? what is the exact difference betweeen the two? Is it related to JVM.

This has nothing to do with JVMs. Some web servers may be written using Java, but that is beside the point.



Some web servers run as multiple processes that communicate with each other. Some run as a single process with multiple threads that communicate. Apache 2.0 can be run as a hybrid with multiple processed each running multiple threads.



The exact different is that one is using threads and the other is not.
